Sennay Ghebreab received the Black Achievement Award 2021

Sennay Ghebreab received the Black Achievement Award 2021 in the category Science and Education for his academic contributions to inclusive artificial intelligence and for his social engagement with diaspora communities.

The award was given at the Black Achievement Gala in the DeLaMar Theather in Amsterdam on November 1st 2021 by U.S Consul General Jennifer DeWitt Walsh. Sennay Ghebreab was one of fifteen nominees for the Black Achievement Awards that was presented for the third time.

The awards were created in 2016 to increase the visibility of talent in the black community. They are presented to people who excel in their profession or otherwise, namely: Sport, Art and Culture, Science and Education, People and Society.
