Successful FACT-AI course leads to student awards!

Students who took the course ‘Fairness, Accountability, Confidentiality and Transparency in AI’ of the Informatics Institute, won the Best Paper Award and two Outstanding Paper Awards in the Machine Learning Reproducibility Challenge 2021!

The course was organized for the third time in January 2022, for the first time co-ordinated by our own Fernando Pascoal Dos Santos, assistant professor of the SIAS group (Socially Intelligent Artificial Sytems) and co-manager of the Civic AI Lab, at the Informatics Institute of the University of Amsterdam. Moreover, our PhD students took and active role in this class, assisting with the supervision of the course!
