Design Cities for All Book Launch: 18 Perspectives on Designing Cities for ALL

To end and celebrate the first year of Designing Cities for All, Pakhuis de Zwijger is publishing 18 Perspectives on Designing Cities for All, and an essay book in which all the authors are committed to creating cities of belonging, where everybody feels and is allowed to feel at home.


Join digitally for the book launch were our scientific director Sennay Ghebreab, together with other speakers, explore topics from the book, and introduce the three 2022 Fellows that will join Pakhuis de Zwijger in the second year of Designing Cities for All!


In 2021, Pakhuis de Zwijger’s extensive two-year programme Designing Cities for All (DCFA) commenced with the support of the Creative Industry Fund NL. This programme focuses on the role of designers in shaping and creating cities for and by everyone. For this program a lot of people with different backgrounds, talents and specialisations came together to provide their own input on how to design inclusive cities. According to ,this book contains 18 essays about the concept of belonging, the impact of design, and how to make it designing cities for all work, in which the authors share stories from their professional practice and lived experience.
